HomeKitzbuhel - 2016

Kitzbuhel, Austria

Kitzbuehel is the sports capital in the heart of the Alps which combines Tyrolean tradition and lifestyle.

Kitzbuhel is a resort dedicated not only to skiing but also to everything that goes along with skiing. It's slopes are vast with more than 50 lifts, it's shops are packed with all sorts of beautiful items, while it's bars and cafes are packed with all kinds of beautiful people, and the night never ends. It is a truly charming Tyrolean resort with cobblestone streets and painted buildings with the main part of town surrounded, in part, by the 12th century stone wall so common to the villages of the period.

The best skiers in the world will visit Kitzbuhel for the Hahnenkamm race, the week before we arrive.  Regular skiers, however will find more than enough to satisfy their urge to test their skills on the many runs located in the five main ski areas surrounding the village. All the ski areas are linked with a series of lifts.  For the intermediate skier, it is a paradise.  Long tree-lined runs provide picture perfect settings and make for great memories. For the experts, some of the most extensive mogul runs in Europe can be found here. For the beginners, Kizbuhel's "Red Devils" ski school will provide extensive instructions. In short, all levels of skiers will be happy in Kitzbuhel as it is one of the best ski resorts in Europe visited by the rich and famous.

Additional activities in Kitzbuhel would include horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice skating, curling, swimming in the indoor pool, indoor tennis, bowling, and even theatres with English-speaking movies. From Kitzbuhel, you can arrange a trip to Italy for shopping or visit Bavaria or join with one of our groups going to Venice for the day.
